At the core of my job, I am a problem solver. I think about solving problems for people. I do this by working with technology and understanding business ambitions to bring ideas to life.

I started in print design, moved to web design and now I class myself as one of those terribly ambiguous “visual product (UX/UI) designers”

When I design something, users interact with it. This allows me to obtain instantaneous feedback and react, alter and evolve my designs accordingly.

Being able to rapidly react to analytical feedback is the type of design environment I relish. I thrive off of meticulously analysing results of many of the design changes I make (both positive, and negative ones). Learning how to optimise my designs via trail and error is a product of my own personality. I value the freedom to take risks and understand what works, and what doesn’t.

After all, sometimes, you only really know about how good you are, after you make a mistake for which you’re solely responsible. There is something central in following ones own direction in the pursuit of learning. What I was given to study in school, I have forgotten. What I learned from my successes and failures, I still remember.
